Even though your kiddo might be getting older, receiving thoughtful Easter basket gifts is still exciting to them as they enter the tween and early teen years. We may have to rethink the bubbles, play dough and matchbox cars, but I’ll prove that there are still lots of great things to put in their Easter basket with this Best Easter Basket Ideas for Tweens list. See No Junk Easter Basket Ideas for more gift ideas geared towards younger ages too!

Gift giving is a good way to let your kid know that you are paying attention and are interested in what interests them. You can also give things that will bring closeness between you and your kids, such as activities that you do together.

They May Feel a Little Too Old for “Kid Stuff”, But Still Want Fun Goodies

It can sometimes be hard to shift from the kiddie years to going more towards the teen/young adult years!

My oldest is 10 1/2 right now and while I love that she is still a little girl who loves little girl things, she is definitely starting to appreciate more things that a teen or even an adult would enjoy. And I think that’s so fun! A whole new era to experience with them.

Best Easter Basket Ideas for Tweens:

I’m going to share as many fun tween Easter basket ideas as I can come up with (these could also be used for teens, really) and you let me know in the comments if you have a good idea I haven’t thought of!

Bible

A Bible is perfect thing to put in an Easter basket! There are lots of good choices for older kids, but I particularly like a NKJV or an ESV version for being able to understand what is being said, but also retaining some of the classic sound and feel of the King James scriptures many of us have grown up. This one is a thin, soft leather-like feeling cover with a feminine teal color. Boys in particular might like this one that has a handsome sword image on the cover.

Bible Cover

If your kiddo already has a nice Bible, but nothing to protect it and carry it in, a Bible cover could be perfect. This choice is a cute purple and pink zippered case with top handles. This one also caught my eye with a camouflage design.

Bible Tabs, Highlighters, Sticky notes

A few study items to slip into the Bible case pockets is always nice. Kids around tween years can start becoming more engaged in taking notes and writing down thoughts as they read or listen. Here are a few goodies I like:

Bible Tabs

Bible Study Sticky Note Set

Highlighters

I have a blog post chock full of my best thoughts and recommendations for Daily Devotions for Kids if you’s like some fresh ideas for getting your kids into the routine of dwelling in God’s Word.

Nail polish

This mini nail polish set has some very sweet and pretty colors. I think this is a really fun combo. There is also a nice selection of Wet and Wild polishes which are very affordable.

Hair Accessories and Clips

Here is a cute set of hair clips with an array of spring-like colors!

Lip Balm

Okay, this is showing my age and might be super Millennial of me, but how can you go wrong with a big pack of different flavored Lip Smackers, I ask you this? They may not be the “cleanest” lip balm, you could definitely go with something like this set for more natural route.

Tea Bags, Drink Packets, Honey Sticks

Do you have an herbal tea drinker? I know my kids love tea and would like this herbal tea sampler pack from Celestial Seasonings. If tea is not your kids cup of, well, tea, how about some strawberry lemonade packets? These are super yummy, and have pretty clean ingredients! Low in sugar and no dyes. This pack of 20 honey sticks would also be healthy and so fun for any kid or teen to have for a treat or stir into their favorite drink.

Journals

I love this Mother and Daughter journal so much! What a great tool to bond with your daughter. And there’s a mother and son version, too!

Sticky notes

Here is a darling set of rainbow colored and heart shaped sticky notes! Can’t get better than that! And these hand shaped sticky notes are hilarious! You can fold the fingers into different gestures like peace, and I love you!

Nice Pens

There a million different fun ideas for pens! Gel pens, rainbow colors, glitter, pastel, pens with flowers and jewel, pens shaped like . I personally like the looks of these yummy scented glitter pens and these lego pens.

Stickers

Doesn’t everybody love stickers? I know I do! I have these Julia Rothman sticker books, a nature one and a farm themed one. These are no silly, kid-like stickers… These are high quality, beautiful watercolor painted animals and wildlife stickers that look lovely wherever you use them. Especially nice for placing on note and envelopes.

Books

If you know me, you know that books are always my favorite. Favorite to shop for, favorite to gift. And you may feel the same way! There are soooo many amazing options, you could just get lost in the world of wonderful books, trying to make a decision, so I’ll give you a little list here of some good ideas:

The Golden Chain is an incredible novel written by a personal friend of my families! (Linked below) It will keep any age reader on the edge of their seat, and leave you satisfied and happy. Perfect and clean for a tween or teen reader, this novel was crafted by a fellow homeschool high school student, developing her skill.

Ten Step Nature Drawing

Anxious for Nothing for Young Readers

Adventures in Odyssey Devotions for Kids

The Golden Chain

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

The Good Master

The Singing Tree

Genevieve’s War

Anne of Green Gables Graphic Novel

Socks

I love this cute set of cream and beige socks with adorable smiley faces.

You can also probably also not go wrong with a pack of these Nike socks for either boys or girls.

Slippers

I love the come-back of the smiley face! These smiley slippers come in several different, pretty colors and are super cute!

Seeds

If you have a budding gardener, a few packets of seeds are the perfect Easter basket gift! This time of year, all gardeners are looking forward to shortly begin planting. I love this set of 32 varieties of organic vegetable seeds for a great price. And here is a set of 7 different edible flowers to grow!

Card Games

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is a card game I keep hearing families saying they really love and have a lot of fun playing. Supposed to be a hoot! There’s even an Easter version!

Uno is a classic that is always so much fun. Also, Sussed The Wacky What Would I Do Game looks very intriguing to me! It sounds like a fun way to start interesting conversations and bond with your middle and older kiddos.

Arts and Crafts

Shimmer Markers

Scratch Art Doodle Pad

Gem Art Stickers

Adorable Origami Kit

Book Light

Both of my little and not-so-little bookworms love to have a booklight or headlamp to get cozy with a book at bedtime.

Face Masks

If you have a tween interested in skincare, they may love to try this marshmallow whipped mask, or these darling little leaf shaped eyes masks.

Twinkle Lights

Twinkle lights never fail to make a space feel very cozy and magical. There are a lot of cute options available. Here are several that grabbed my attention for tweens:

Rainbow Twinkle Lights

Star Shaped Fairy Lights

Mushroom Cottagecore Fairy Lights

Night Lights

Moon Lamp

Mushroom Nightlight

Toast Lamp
