I love the precious image of the mother holding the child.

And perfect for this project, it is a black and white outlined image which will be just the right style for adding a creative touch ourselves!

Print this card out onto some nice, thick watercolor paper, and add some soft dabs of color on the words and image, and you will have a really sweet and personalized card for your special mom or mother figure.

Link to Print Out the Card Will be at the Bottom of the Post!

Check out my video, where I show how I painted the card and some of my favorite watercolors!

How to Print Out Mother’s Day Cards

  • Find the link at the bottom of this post, and get your free Mother’s Day card download.
  • Read the instruction page (page 1 of the file)
  • Choose your paper. Card stock is an option, I highly recommend watercolor paper though. You may have to cut your paper to the correct size. Trace a piece of copy paper, or measure: 8.5 x 11 inches.
  • Print out page 2 of the download (the page with only the cards on it).
  • Carefully cut on the inside of the grey lines.

How to Decorate Your Free Printable Mother’s Day Cards

Watch my video to see an example of how I watercolor painted my cards.

  • Tape the card onto table or hard surface with gentle painters tape or artists tape to keep from warping from the moisture of the watercolors.
  • Watercolor paint the design and lettering with a fine point paintbrush.
  • Remove the tape after the paint is dry. Do it slow and gentle so you don’t tear your card.
